Outdoor Learning Made Easy has 5 Core Values which are at the heart of everything we do and all of our resources. These Core Values, and their corresponding animal mascots, are as follows: We, and our 1st Mascot Spike the Hedgehog, strive to help improve both emotional intelligence and wellbeing; Our 2nd mascot, Amber the Fox helps to grow your children’s confidence to take and manage risks; Our aim, along with our 3rd mascot Francois the Frog, is to connect more children and adults to their local environment in ways that can be maintained with minimal long-term environmental impacts; Our 4th mascot, Betty the Butterfly, helps to facilitate individuality and originality and enable children to develop innovative skills; Our 5th mascot, Swoop the Owl, will help to gently build their confidence to enable them to develop a positive growth mindset.
More information about our Core Values can be found here.
Each session is quite open in that it could take as quick or long as necessary. A good guide is about half an hour to an hour per session. It is up to you how quickly you work through the challenges. If you do one challenge a day (Monday to Friday), it would take you 4 weeks; If you do one challenge a week it would take you 20 weeks to complete. You can work in any order and as fast or slow as you like as there is no time limit.
No, you can choose to do them in any order that suits you.
There are 3 levels. Bronze = 10 challenges complete; silver = 15 challenges complete; gold = all 20 challenges complete. Therefore your child/ students have targets to work to all the way through the scheme. You can download the challenge tracker and keep a check of challenges completed. When your child/ students have completed a level, you can download and print the relevant certificates.
No problem, they have as long as they need 🙂
